Terms and Conditions of Hire

Age restrictions

You must be minimum 22 years old in order to be eligible to rent economic class vehicles. You must be minimum 25 years old in order to be eligible to rent middle or executive class vehicles. You must be minimum 30 years old or above in order to be eligible to rent luxurious class vehicles. Maximum driver age is 75.

Driver’s license requirements

In the case of economic class vehicles, Lessee must have a Driver’s License valid for the last 2 years in minimum. In the case of middle or executive class vehicles, Lessee must have a Driver’s License valid for the last 3 years in minimum. In the case of luxury class vehicles, Lessee must have a Driver’s License valid for the last 5 years in minimum.

Obligation of Foreign Guests’ to Present Driver’s License and Passport.

Guests, who are not a citizen of the Republic of Turkey, must have their passports with them. Our guests, who have a Driver’s License obtained from another country and who have been staying in Turkey more than 6 months, must present the Driver’s License issued by the Republic of Turkey.

Additional Driver Option

Urent Rent A Car charges its clients with the fee of 1,5 Euro (TL equivalent) per day for any additional drivers. All of the drivers must be included to the relative rental contract as the vehicle is being delivered to the Lessee. In case an accident takes place under the control of a driver, who is not included to the contract, then the insurance shall become invalid, and both Lessee and additional driver shall be held responsible. In such cases, Lessee and additional driver(s) agree in advance to cover any damages that the rented vehicle, third partie(s) and other vehicle(s) may suffer.

Rental Period

Rental Periods are always calculated on a 24 hour basis. Each one hour of delay shall be penalized with 1/3 of the daily rental value. In the case of delays that exceed 3 hours, such delays shall be penalized with the rental value for a full day (in case it is determined in the beginning of the rental period, delays up to 1,5 hours shall not be considered).

Usage of credit card

Our clients, who shall rent a vehicle from our firm, must have a credit card (open to online transactions) issued in their name in order to be able to rent a vehicle from our firm.

Payment and deposit

The total cost of the rental is payable at the time of delivery of the car. Advance payment collected for pre-reservation is deducted from total rental fee and the entire amount of the remaining rental fee is collected at car delivery. Our firm is entitled to ask for pre-provision and block any amount equal to the Excess amount on the effective date of the rental contract. Excess ratios that vary according to the group of vehicles are explained under the section titled “EXCESS ”. Payment may be made by credit card (VISA, MASTERCARD, AMEX) or in cash.

Mileage Policy

Daily mileage limit is 250 km. In case mileage limit is exceeded in passenger cars, 0,08 Euro (equivalent value in TL) per km + VAT shall be charged. In the case of minibuses and luxury cars, excess of mileage limit shall be charged by 0,10 Euro (equivalent value in TL) per km + VAT. Mileage limit shall be maximum 3.500 km in the case of rentals made for a period shorter than 1 month and/or in the case of monthly rentals. In the case of vehicles rented for long-term, mileage limit may vary by vehicle class. Please contact offices of Urent Rent A Car to obtained detailed information of rentals for longer periods.

Fuelling Procedure;

Our firm is not obliged to deliver relative vehicle with full tank at the effective date of rental contract. Lessee shall be liable to return rented vehicle with a tank that is as full as the time when the vehicle is delivered to the Lessee. Fuel level shall be shown to the Lessee at the effective date of rental contract, and shall be written on the relative area on the contract after the parties reach a mutual agreement on the same, and it shall be required from the Lessee to return the vehicle at the same tank fullness level. Regarding vehicles that are returned at a different tank fullness level, Lessee may be held liable to pay a fee higher than normal pump price per litre since service fee shall also be charged.

Usage of Toll Roads and Bridges (HGS- OGS)

Lessee shall be liable for any highway and Bridge passage values that are subject to a fee. Lessee shall be liable to purchase passage card from the branches of PTT for any toll bridges and roads that he/she shall pass with his/her vehicle during the rental period. Since any passage that shall be made illegally shall be reflected to the relative Lessee/driver, Lessee shall be liable to obtain relative passage card beforehand. URENT RENT A CAR provides credits for Automatic Passage System (OGS) in return of a service value with the amount of 5 Euro (equivalent value in TL). Lessee, who purchases aforementioned service from our entity, shall be liable to pay to our firm any bridge and road toll fees based on the passage report issued by our firm at the expiry of the rental period.

Cross Border Travels

Vehicles provided by our firm may not be taken out of the borders of the Republic of Turkey.

Reservations

How can you make a reservation?

You may see the vehicles available in our fleet and prices of the same at moovegased.com. When you complete a request form and send it to us for any vehicle that you wish to rent, and our reservation department shall examine your request form. It shall be controlled whether required vehicle is available, and you shall be notified under any circumstances. If the vehicle group that you require is available, then you shall be informed on the procedure that must be followed for the required vehicle or equivalent to be reserved for you for certain. Since it is faster and easier to make vehicle reservation procedures on the website, we prefer that you submit your requests via our website.

Pre-reservation Conditions

In case of reservations that are made by internet a partial prepayment as a deposit is required. This advance payment, which is required to finalize relative reservations is deducted from total rental fee at the latest at vehicle delivery. Advance payments may be made by 2 methods; 1- By secure payment link, (Secure Payment System) 2- Bank transfer. Since making advance payments by bank transfer may cause occurrence of additional costs, our firm prefers advance payments to be made by secure payment link. If advance payment should be made by bank transfer please ask our bank account details during booking. Reservations that are not approved by our firm and advance payment of which are not received shall not be considered.

Conditions for cancellation of reservations;

You are entitled to cancel your reservation for any vehicle you reserved at no cost 6 days from the effective date of your rental contract. Cancellations that shall be made at any time less than 6 days, conditions of cancellation shall be as below; In case of cancellations that are made 5-4 days prior to the effective date of relative rental contract, 30% of the total rental fee shall not be returned. In case of cancellations that are made 3-2 days prior to the effective date of relative rental contract, 40% of the total rental fee shall not be returned. In case of cancellations that are made 24-12 hours prior to the effective date of relative rental contract, 50% of the total rental fee shall not be returned. (Lowest penalty cannot be less than 1 day rental price.)

Vehicle Delivery & Return

How will you take delivery of your vehicle?

No fee is charged for 7/24 pick up at airport. In case you notify us on your flight information, our personnel shall greet you at the arrival hall of relative airport with a sign that includes your name, and the vehicle you reserved shall be delivered to you at the car park.

Your vehicle shall be made ready for you after your request is approved online or by telephone. You may take your vehicle, which is made ready, from the office of URENT RENT A CAR and your vehicle may also be delivered to any address you shall notify within the limits of town centre, provided that such request is notified before the effective date of rental contract (Since a fee shall be charged for vehicles that are required to be delivered to a long distance, please notify us on this issue in advance).

How will you return the vehicle?

It shall be sufficient for you to go to the station you indicated at the time decided for return of the vehicle on the effective date of the rental period. Our personnel shall greet you in the case of vehicles that shall be returned at the airport.

It shall be beneficial for both of the parties to agree, on the effective date of the rental period, at a time, on which relative vehicle shall be returned. Since those, who shall fly abroad must check in minimum 2 hours from the flight time, and since those, who shall fly to a domestic location must check in minimum 1 hour from the flight time, return procedures that shall be performed at any airport must be planned accordingly.

Conditions for rented vehicle to be returned in a different City;

If a vehicle that is taken in any city shall be returned in a different city, than such issue must be determined at the effective date of the rental contract. In case the city where the vehicle is taken is different than the city where the vehicle is returned, one-way fee is collected due to return of the vehicle in a different city. Values of return at a different city are calculated and provided at the stage of online reservation.

In case of returns that shall be made to any different or town city that is not available at our website or that shall be made to any different or town city without providing any pre-notification, 0,20 Euro (equivalent value in TL) shall be charged per Km in consideration of the distance of the different city or town from the city or town, in which the vehicle is delivered to the Lessee.

Early return conditions;

In case there is any health problem, rental procedure shall be terminated in the next day. Rental fee that is equal to the number of days, in which relative vehicle is used, shall be collected from the Lessee, and rental fee collected for rest of the days, which the Lessee has undertaken to rent the vehicle, shall be returned (a letter issued by a hospital or a medical report is required in order to refund the amounts that are collected for any days, in which the vehicle is not used). In case any rented vehicle is returned for any reason, except for health problems, 50% of the rental fee shall be returned for the days, in which the vehicle is not used.

Delay Conditions;

Each one hour of delay shall be penalized with 1/3 of the daily rental value. In the case of delays that exceed 3 hours, such delays shall be penalized with the rental value for a full day (in case it is determined in the beginning of the rental period, delays up to 1,5 hours shall not be considered).

Insurance and Its Conditions

Vehicles owned by the Lessor are insured against any third parties by Compulsory Automobile Liability Insurance within the limits of relative legal policy in accordance with the Highways Traffic Law (hereinafter referred to as TRAFFIC Insurance). This insurance coverage is limited with the limits indicated in the insurance policy, which is valid for the vehicle in the relative rental period.

Collision Damage Waiver

Our prices include Collision Damage Waiver (CDW). You may benefit from immunity from collision damage waiver insurance in the ratio of the conditions and limits envisaged by collision damage waiver insurance. You may also may make a more comfortable and risk free journey by extending the scope of such insurance thanks to the additional insurance options that are offered to you.

Excess

Regarding any single-vehicle collisions and in accidents, in which the Lessee is the primary negligent, in the case of economic cars, Lessee shall be liable to bear any damages with the value of 400 Euros and in the case of middle and luxury cars, Lessee shall be liable to bear any damages with the value of 500 Euros, provided that such amount may vary by class of the car rented. Lessee shall be liable to satisfy any conditions that are stipulated by insurances in order to benefit from insurances in the case of damages that exceed the exemption limit.

EVENTS THAT MAY NULLIFY INSURANCE AND THAT ARE EXCLUDED FROM THE SCOPE OF INSURANCE;

In case any accident takes place when relative vehicle is being driven by a driver, whose name is not included to the contract,
In case the driver is under the influence of alcohol or drugs at the time of the accident,
In case of accidents that are made due to violation of various traffic rules, such as passing through a red light and speeding etc.
Accidents and damages that may occur due to towing away another vehicle or any moving or stable objects, and carrying the same after loading, and accidents that source from any load being carried in the vehicle,
In case any standard items available in the vehicle are lost, stolen or damaged, such as radio, spare wheel and tool set etc.,
Damages that may source from carrying passengers and luggage above the limit determined by traffic rules, as well as carrying items other than luggage and explosive materials in any way whatsoever,
Any burns, stains and fires that may occur on the upholstery in the car due to the impact made by cigarettes and any similar caustic materials,
Theft of vehicle due to leaving the vehicle idle by leaving ignition keys and relative documents in the car or due to delivery of the car to any third parties,
Failure to return the original documents and keys of the car to the Lessor due to theft of the car,
Damages that may occur due to failure to return the vehicle timely without obtaining any approval and although the rental period is expired,

Tyre splitting/flat tyres that may occur due to being inconsiderate of road conditions and tyre(s) and rim(s) that may become unemployable due to driving the vehicle on flat tyre(s), and damages that may occur on any of the windows and headlights,

Damages that are suffered by the under frame of the vehicle due to driving the vehicle carelessly on unpaved roads or off-road areas, and damaging the engine by filling wrong fuel,

Loss or damage suffered by documents of the vehicle (license), keys or devices handed over to the Lessee (child safety seat and navigation etc.),

Failure to obtain required reports (traffic and alcohol reports) from concerned authorities within 48 hours in any accident that may occur, although there is no health related problem, or failure to provide the same to the Lessor,
Goods that are left, forgotten, lost, damaged or stolen in the vehicle throughout the effective date of rental contract.

In case the vehicle is used under above conditions, insurance shall be terminated and Lessee shall be liable to cover any damages and losses that may occur.

Optional Additional Insurance & Optional Extras

Top Cover Protection (TCP)

Lessee shall be entitled to benefit from a discount of 50% in the amount of aforementioned EXCESS by purchasing Top Cover Protection in return of an additional fee paid per day. In case the Lessee purchases TCP Insurance, there is no need to obtain any official report from the police/gendarmerie, in the case of single-vehicle collisions with no bodily injury. TCP may be purchased by being indicated at the reservation stage, and it may also be taken out during delivery of the vehicle. Top Cover Protection (TCP) fee is 1 Euro per day.

Tyres, Windscreen and Headlights Insurance (TWH)

This insurance covers any risks that may occur in case any damage occurs on the windscreen, tyres and headlights of the vehicle. TWH insurance may be purchased by being indicated at the reservation stage, and it may also be taken out during delivery of the vehicle. Tyres, Windscreen and Headlights Insurance (TWH) fee is 0,5 Euro

Theft Coverage

Although vehicle theft is included to the Collison damage Waiver, which is included to our prices, CDW insurance does not cover 20% of the value of relative vehicle, and loss of use that shall be suffered between the date when relative vehicle is stolen and the date when a payment is made by the insurance. These partial risks may be covered by taking our theft insurance for the vehicle during reservation period or at the effective date of rental contract. Theft insurance fee is 1 Euro (equivalent value in TL) per day. (Any lost or stolen valuables inside the vehicle during the rental period are not covered by any insurance coverage)

Minor Damage Insurance

Mini repair damage insurance cover damages of up to 20 cm on the vehicle's bodywork/bumpers regarding at single-vehicle accidents in which the Lessee is the primary negligent. The Mini Repair Insurance may be purchased by being indicated at the reservation stage, and it may also be taken out during delivery of the vehicle. MRI Insurance (MDI) fee is 1 Euro (equivalent value in TL) per day.
